This is the blog page of The Secret Father. Dad to one toddler and one baby. This site is dedicated to describing in glorious technicolour my experience of the trials and tribulations of that exhalted role – the father. I write with brutal honesty. You may not identify with any of what I write. All i can say is lucky you, move on, there is nothing for you to see here. Otherwise I hope you will enjoy what I write and please feel free to share, leave comments and provide feedback of your own “magical” journey. In my professional life i have been deployed all over the world to conflict / disaster zones. I have been shot at, bombed, caught in terrifying cyclones and massive earthquakes and attacked by wild animals. However I still maintain that being a father is the hardest and most stressful thing i have EVER done.

Being a father is unequivocally the hardest and most difficult thing I have ever done in my life. On the flip-side, being a father is also the most rewarding thing I have ever done. It makes me realize that you can not truly enjoy life without experiencing a little pain in the process. Just like yen and yang, the joy and sorrow of fatherhood complement each other, and make everything worth it.
